Light Intensity Data Loggers & Sensors (+Outdoor)
The HOBOnet Wireless Photosynthetic Active Radiation (PAR) Sensor measures light intensity for frequencies relevant to photosynthesis. HOBOnet Wireless Sensors communicate data directly to the HOBO RX3000 or the HOBO MicroRX station or pass data through other wireless sensors back to the central station. They are preconfigured and ready to deploy, and data is accessed through HOBOlink, Onset’s innovative cloud-based software platform.
The HOBOnet Wireless Solar Radiation (Silicon Pyranometer) Sensor is calibrated to measure light intensity for frequencies relevant for solar radiation.
The HOBO MX2202 waterproof temperature/light level logger leverages the power of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to deliver accurate temperature and light-level measurements straight to your mobile device with Onset's free HOBOconnect app. Designed for durability, this compact waterproof logger is ideal for measuring temperature in streams, lakes, oceans, and soil environments. Data collection in the field has never been easier!
Mounting Requirements: It is very important that the logger housing does not become distorted when mounted. When mounting these loggers to any non-flat surface, such as rebar or posts, we recommend using the Mounting Boot (BOOT-MX2201-2201). This boot is also useful for mounting loggers so that they can be easily removed for service.

The HOBO RX3000 Weather Station Starter Kit provides instant access to site-specific air temperature, relative humidity, and wind speed/direction data anywhere, anytime on your desktop or mobile device.
The RX3000 accepts up to 10 plug-and-play Smart Sensors. Just plug in your sensor and it’s automatically recognized – no programming, wiring, or calibration necessary.
This weather station kit includes a one-year cellular data plan plus cloud-based data access through HOBOlink – for 24/7 access to your data and the ability to verify RX3000 system status, set up and manage alarm notifications, and schedule automated delivery of data.
Rugged and compact, the redesigned HOBO USB Micro Station is a weatherproof data logger for multi-channel monitoring of microclimates. Starting at just $220, this battery-powered station accepts up to five plug-and-play Smart Sensors and has a hinged door to make sensor installation simple and quick. The Micro Station is equipped with a built-in USB port for fast, efficient data readout to a computer, and integrated mounting tabs for easy installation.
Looking for a cellular option? The MicroRX Station offers integrated solar panel or battery-power for affordable remote data offload via 4G cellular.
Interested in water level and flow monitoring? The MicroRX Water Level Station combines the MicroRX Station with Onset’s own water level sensor and pre-programmed water flow formulas.
This HOBO Pendant? data logger is a miniature, waterproof two-channel temperature and relative light level data logger. The 8K model comes at a great value and is suitable for indoor, outdoor, and underwater applications. This logger holds approximately 6.5K of 10-bit readings. Use a solar radiation shield for accurate temperature measurement in sunlight.See RS1 Solar Radiation Shield (assembly required) and M-RSA (pre-assembled) Solar Radiation Shield. Note that using a solar radiation shield prevents the use of the light sensor.
This miniature data logger can record temperature and relative light levels. Complete with waterproof casing, this product is designed for indoor, outdoor, and underwater deployment. This model can store approximately 52,000 measurments of 10-bit readings. Use a solar radiation shield for accurate temperature measurement in sunlight. See RS1 Solar Radiation Shield (assembly required) and M-RSA (pre-assembled) Solar Radiation Shield. Note that using a solar radiation shield prevents the use of the light sensor.
The Photosynthetic Light (PAR) Smart Sensor is intended to measure light intensity for the frequencies relevant for photosynthesis. This sensor has a measurement range of 0 to 2500 umol/m2/sec over wavelengths from 400 to 700 nm. Enclosed in a anodized aluminum housing with acrylic diffuser and o-ring seal, this model has a 3m cable; a light sensor bracket and light sensor level are recommended.
